Day 4!

I want to start off by thanking you for following my 30 day vegan cleanse!!

I decided to blog each day (thanks for bearing with me!) because it keep me ACCOUNTABLE.  I know that at the end of the day I need to sit down, post what I have eaten, what my workout was, and how I am feeling.  I am determined to be successful by staying on this program for 30 days and kicking some bad habits along with ridding my body of some unnecessary toxins.  I can't fail if I know I am posting for people to read each day.

On to my day...

I did not want to get up again this morning.  The alarm went off at 5:15 AM, I turned it off and rolled over.  But, I thought about something I heard Chalene Johnson say the other day.  Her alarm goes off at 4:30 AM and while she would love to shut it off and go back to sleep, she repeats "I'm up, I'm up, I'M UP!" then she hops out of bed.  It took me about 20 minutes of repeating this to myself, but I did get up...eventually.  I wonder how many times I said it in that 20 minutes?  A lot.

I did my Insanity fit test this morning and let me tell you...I had my a$$ handed to me.  Everything I remembered about trying to do this program in 2009 came back to me.  But this time...no matter how hard it is, no matter how many times I have to stop and catch my breath, no matter how sore and tired I am...I WILL DO THIS.  (It's in bold and red, that's serious business right there).  Completing Insanity is on my Dream Board.  It's one of my goals for 2011.  These 60 days will be hard...but at the end of it I will feel so... accomplished.

Today was a good day overall.  I was still a little tired this afternoon.  I feel better - more positive and a bit more energetic.  Sweet!  I still have those random moments during the day when my brain is telling me I want chocolate or bread or something that I can't really be eating right now.  But, for the most part, I am working through it and am not too cranky.  Ask Josh though, he might tell you otherwise.

Here's my day in food:
AM (wake up) - 10 oz water with lemon
Breakfast: gluten & dairy free waffle with 1T natural peanut butter and 2 sliced strawberries
Lunch: brown rice tortilla wrap with a Sunshine veggie burger (sliced) and spinach
Snack: celery sticks, 1T roasted red pepper hummus & 10 raw almonds
Dinner: huge salad with 1T Bragg healthy vinaigrette sprinkled with Brad's raw vegan "cheese" kale crisps
Snack: my downfall, a Blueberry Pecan Kind bar - better than a sundae, right?  haha!
Water: 110 oz
Workout: Insanity Fit Test

Of course...the pictures!

Dinner - huge salad with those Brad's kale crisps that I posted yesterday.

And just because this was awesome...this is what I saw after my Insanity Fit Test this morning.  Breathtaking!
